Nexans Certifies its Installers – So You Don’t Have To
A new installer partner program from Nexans Data Center Solutions helps North American customers find contractors who have been evaluated and trained to work with the company’s products. The tiered program is designed to match each customer with a pre-approved installer that best fits their needs in terms of location, project size and product requirements.
“The Nexans Partner program gives you, the end user, access to contractors who have been certified by Nexans as offering the technical capabilities you need, backed by a commitment to customer service,” says Mike Connaughton, Nexans Data Center Market Segment Manager. “We pre-screen installation contractors so you don’t have to.”
The largest partner group are Certified Solutions Partners (CSPs). Ideal for larger projects, CSPs receive hands-on training on Nexans products and, based on this expertise, are able to offer extended warranties. They are part of an international program that enables Nexans to facilitate the roll-out of cross-border projects for multinational clients. CSPs also offer project design, planning and management capabilities. Most of their standards-based training focuses on fiber testing and documentation.
At the top tier are Nexans’ Hyperlane Partners. These larger, multi-location firms may offer project management services as well as additional advantages such as system design and supply chain management, all while understanding local market demands. These partners receive priority access to Nexans’ technical support team.
“When it comes to installation, end users don’t have to go it alone. The goal of the program is to offer you the services you need, rather than the ones we impose on you,” Mike says. “We can provide you with the partner that’s the best fit for your specific needs.
“These partners also act as our eyes and ears in the local market,” he adds. “Any time there’s a problem on a job, it’s more easily solved the closer you are to it. And if they need more support from Nexans, our partners know who to contact.”
